British Colleges honours for Hartpury trio

British Colleges honours for Hartpury trio

Three Hartpury students have been selected from 150 hopefuls for this year’s British Colleges’ netball squad.

A Level student Thea Thompson and Level 3 Extended Diploma Sport Coaching students Erin Howell and Kellie Hull were successfully selected as part of the final squad of 18 following three national trial rounds.

There was more good news for Kellie and Thea, who were informed they would be vice- captains for the first and second teams respectively.

For Hull, this is her second season with the representative side – having played in different positions at both ends of the court. Erin, meanwhile, gains her place after narrowly missing out last season, and Thea is also included for the first time.

“These three girls always listen and work hard,” said Hartpury netball coach, Sarah Pretty. “It’s such a joy to coach and work with them and it’s great to see their commitment to netball and to training paying off”.

The trio will get their season underway this month before trips to Ireland and Scotland during February and March.
