Seventh heaven for Hartpury's footballing finest! Hartpury Sport round-up 13.01.16

Hartpury College’s first team footballers stole the limelight this week as they put seven past Loughborough in the ECFA Premier League Cup.

There was a hat-trick from Jacob Davidge, with goals from Jordan Staten, Thomson, Mosanya and Tom Moxham sealing the success, although the player of the match was Williamson.

The Under-18s kept up the good work as they saw off Farnborough Sixth Form after extra-time in the ESFA Under-18s Colleges Trophy, winning 4-3 on penalties after finishing normal time at a 1-1 stalemate.

The Under-19s thirds were held to a 2-2 draw at Birmingham Met Stourbridge Seconds in the AoC League, but the fourth team clinched a 2-1 success at South Gloucestershire and Stroud College seconds.

There were solid victories in the rugby too as the Under-18s seconds overcame Coleg y Cymoedd firsts 49-14 in the AOC League Cup and the fourth team comfortably saw off Loughborough College firsts 33-0 in the AoC League.

But there was a rare defeat for Gloucester-Hartpury women’s team at Lichfield Ladies in the Women’s Championship Midland Two as they suffered a 24-0 setback.

In the netball, the college’s second team went down 66-44 at Newcastle-under-Lyme in the AoC Cup.
