We’re inviting businesses to get their kit on and join in with our Rugby World Cup celebrations- no experience necessary!

Do you want the opportunity to get your business involved with the Rugby World Cup 2015? Then Hartpury College is where you want to be on Wednesday, July 15th!

As part of the college’s own celebration of the Rugby World Cup, Hartpury is looking for local businesses to get involved in a touch rugby tournament - the West Country Corporate Challenge Touch Rugby Cup.

The Corporate Challenge event promises to be an action-packed day of touch rugby, with a limited number of spaces still available for organisations to join in and play against a range of leading national and regional businesses across different industries.  The day will be based on fun, and is open for all to play, regardless of experience.

Each team will be made up of male and female players employed by the participating organisation. Squad sizes should be between eight to 12 players, with six players then taking to the field for each match as the teams battle it out to be crowned inaugural champions of the West Country!

There will also be the chance to get your picture taken with rugby’s very own Webb Ellis Cup as the trophy visits Hartpury in the afternoon as part of the Rugby World Cup Trophy Tour.

Phil De Glanville, Hartpury’s Director of Elite Sport, said: “We are really looking forward to welcoming the Webb Ellis Cup to the college and it’s great that we can include the local community, including businesses, to join us in our celebration.

“It’s a great chance for everyone to have a fun day, playing rugby and with no previous experience necessary there’s no reason not to get involved!”

Prior to participating in the touch rugby action, businesses are invited to attend the Rugby Business Network breakfast event, which will run in the Sports Academy between 8am and 9am. At the informal event, business people with an interest in rugby will get the chance to network, listen to a guest speaker and enjoy a complimentary breakfast.

The Rugby Business Network is the world’s biggest and most influential business network for people with a passion for rugby. It is a not-for-profit organisation that connects senior business people who share a passion for rugby in the hope they can justify making a sustained commitment to the rugby community. The Gloucestershire branch covers the Gloucester, Cheltenham and Bristol area.

You can sign up for the event and ask any questions by e-mailing mail@7bamboosrugby.com.
