The wait is nearly over for Hartpury’s biggest ever Summer Fair and exciting new activities continue to be added to the programme.
With free entry for everyone, even the family dog, the Summer Fair on Saturday, June 7th, will be an unmissable day out with lots of new and exciting activities for children and families.
Zorbing and ‘Walks with Hawks’ – an owl and raptor show - have recently been added to the action-packed programme, which already includes everything from juggling to snake handling and windsurfing.
Dog owners will also get the chance to enter our family dog show and have a go at the dog agility course - always firm favourites with visitors. The arena programme, which starts at noon, will also feature show jumping, sporting skills, drug detection dogs and vintage tractors.
There’s inflatables for the kids with the Midlands Air Ambulance bringing along their ‘Helibounce’, a circus entertainer, sheep shearing and butter making plus more than 70 stalls, exhibits and games and plenty of refreshments, including a barbecue.
“Hartpury Summer Fair is a celebration of everything that is good about Gloucestershire and, as always, we’re really looking forward to welcoming local people on to our stunning campus for a fun, free day out,” said Hartpury Principal, Russell Marchant.
“As well as local crafts, the chance to handle exotic animals and sporting challenges, visitors will also be able to see our latest attraction – the fantastic walled animal garden with the chance to meet our meerkats, prairie dogs and aviary. You could even take a llama for a walk and experience what it’s like to milk a cow with our simulator, Daisy!”
The gates open at 11.30am with the full arena programme kicking off at noon. The show closes at 4pm.
