Placement workshop – community rugby clubs coming to Hartpury

Hartpury College is hosting a ‘Clubs Night’ on Wednesday, October 8th where community rugby clubs will get the opportunity to speak to students looking for placements.

The placements can range from coaching at clubs or even recruitment work working in local schools. The main aim is to provide students with placement opportunities alongside their academic studies, which will also support local community clubs.

The Student Volunteering Workshop will take place on:

Wednesday, 8th October 2014 (arrive at 6.30pm for 7pm start)
Sports Academy, Hartpury College

There will be a short talk from Hartpury academic and Rugby Football Union staff outlining the importance of supporting community clubs.

Each club will have their own table/pitch, which students will come to and discuss their own interests and the club’s needs.

If you are a student and would like more information, e-mail Laura Stevens, Student Placement Coordinator, at laura.stevens@hartpury.ac.uk

Interested clubs should contact Ashley Stephens, Rugby Development Officer, at ashleystephens@rfu.com in the first instance.
