Gloucester-Hartpury sail past Shelford

Gloucester-Hartpury women took their points total close to the 200 mark without reply as they beat Shelford Ladies 82-0 in just their second Women’s Championship Midlands 2 game this season.

Having already amassed 95 unanswered points in their opening fixture against Birmingham Moseley, Susie Appleby’s side scored 14 tries and six conversions to take their points tally to 177.

There were braces for Bethany Hicks, Beth Jones, Michelle Ruddock, Mary Ann Gittings and ex-England international Leah Carey while Lauren Graham, Tara Godby, Samantha Johnson and Ellen Wood completed the scoring with a try each.

Gloucester-Hartpury will face Bletchley next with their opening home fixture of the campaign (Saturday, October 9th).
