A competitors guide will be available in the near future.

Bronze, Silver & Gold Tours Plus Puissance

Each grade of competitor will enter the three days of competition; their Tour will consist of different types of competition on each day. The skills of the Course Designer will test the competitor across various courses, riders will need to demonstrate a broad base of training to enable their horses to jump clear under pressure.

The 1st Leg of the Tour on Friday will see the Bronze level work at a Two Phase competition; they will need to jump 8 obstacles not against the clock. The clear rounds will go straight on to jump a further 6 obstacles at speed.

Friday will also sport the Silver Tour in an A7 competition when only clear rounds go forward to a time and fault jump off. The Gold Tour 1st Leg will be an A4 competition where competitors go against the clock in the first round and are placed on faults and time.

Saturday the 2nd Leg of the Tour will see the Course Designer change tactics as each grade has a change in class structure.  The day will start with the Silver Tour running under A4 rules going straight against the clock. The Bronze section will have a Speed and Power class. The excitement of going against the clock in the first round and then leading into a power section with ‘big’ fences will test these less experienced horse.  Saturday evening is when the 2nd Leg Gold Tour show their metal in an A7 class.  Clear rounds will be a must before going against the clock in round two with £3680 in the prize pot we should be in for a real treat.

The final class on Saturday evening will be the Puissance. Just how big can that red wall go? The horses in this class will have travelled especially for this competition, they are specialists in their own right with the ability to jump these enormous fences. Riders are always competitive, keen to out jump their rivals but this class will also have gasps and encouragement from the audience as each spectator cheerson their favourite.

Sunday is the final day an accumulative point scheme will qualify horses from each of the Bronze, Silver and Gold Tours. Top horses in each of the groups will qualify for the Final with lower placed horses entering the Handicap Consolation Final during the morning. The Consolation Finals will run under the Two Phase rule with 8 obstacles not against the clock and then clears go straight against the clock.

Competitors will now be feeling the pressure as there are big money prizes for the final afternoon. The Bronze Tour Final will be under A7 rules with clear rounds going into a jump off against the clock. Silver Tour Final under A9 with the best 5 scores going into the second round or all clears go into a jump off and the fastest time wins. The Gold Final the Victor Ludorum should be a great spectacle with 3 rounds to decide the winner.
