In order for you to be selected into the senior football programme, you must be enrolled on a university course at UWE Hartpury.
Our elite squad play at the very highest standard of university football and will regularly include players who have been with a professional club either as an apprentice or a full-time professional. Others can expect to have had at least extensive trials with professional clubs prior to joining Hartpury.
The elite squad normally comprises of our top two sides: the elite and elite development teams. The players who do not make this squad will have the chance to play regular football and develop at a competitive level.
Trials for prospective players will be held over the course of the year, with the purpose of identifying talented players to join the Hartpury Football programme.
Ultimately places in the programme will be offered based on prior experience, your sporting CV and trials. Players will also need to ensure they have confirmed, or are in the process of accepting a place on one of UWE Hartpury’s degree courses.
Academically, applicants to UWE Hartpury should have the equivalent of at least 160 UCAS points, or a BTEC Level 3 grade MPP and at least five GSCEs at C or above (two of which must be in maths and English). If you have not achieved these prerequisites there are other options available to you; for further details please contact the head of the senior football programme, Marc Richards.
