Hartpury College

New Women's Football and Futsal Programme

As the UK’s most successful sporting college, Hartpury is now setting its sights on developing some of the UK’s brightest female footballing talent, with the new Women's Football and Futsal programme.

So, if you can think of nothing better than playing competitive football and developing your skills as you study, look new further than our new women’s football and futsal programme.

Boasting more than 10 national titles as part of one of the most successful university and college football set-ups in the country (we’re the current BUCS men’s football and ESFA Colleges Trophy champions), Hartpury has an outstanding reputation for supporting young players to take their development to the next level.

Studying on our specialist sports campus offers unrivalled opportunities to achieve your potential on and offer the field. We’ll help you balance your studies with your playing and training commitments to ensure you can be the best you can be on the football pitch and achieve academically.

The range of support available to our academy athletes can include specialist coaching, physiotherapy, strength and conditioning, sports psychology, nutrition and performance lifestyle advice. It’s as close as it gets to being in a professional club.

You don’t have to be playing at the highest level to be part of the new women’s football and futsal programme though, and all students have access to our exceptional sports facilities, from the cardio and power gyms to the six grass and two 3G pitches.

We’ll give you the coaching and support you need to reach your potential and, as a sports student at Hartpury, you’ll benefit from work with elite athletes and top level coaches from our eight academies in an environment that’s as close as it gets to a professional club.

And with so many sports courses to choose from, there’s bound to be one that suits you. We offer everything from Honours and Foundation degrees through to postgraduate study with programmes including Sports Therapy, Sport and Exercise Science and Nutrition, Sports Coaching, Physical Education and School Sport and Strength and Conditioning. You could even choose to study one of our equine, animal or agriculture degree courses, plus we offer a wide range of A-levels and BTEC Diplomas.

We work with professionals clubs, governing bodies and industry leaders in the UK and throughout the world to open doors to incredible opportunities for our students – from exciting work placements to amazing jobs. A degree is so much more than a piece of paper at Hartpury. Just ask our graduates, like Jonathan Robinson, who is now working as a performance analyst for Liverpool Football Club, or Laura Walkerden, who was involved in the London 2012 Olympic Games as a sports marketer.
