In order for you to be selected into the netball programme, you must first be applying for, or have already accepted, a place onto a course at Hartpury College.

Our elite squad compete to a very high standard and will regularly include players who have received National trials at U17 level or involved in Club’s at Regional or National level. The elite squad normally comprises of our top two teams. The players who do not make this squad will still have the chance to play netball at a competitive level as part of a development squad and encouraged to gain experience in external Netball clubs.

Trials are open at the beginning of the school year however before this period there are invitation days and opportunities to play with current Hartpury players and potential new players for the upcoming season. These take place over February half term and Easter break.

Ultimately, places in the programme will be offered based on prior experience, your sporting CV with coaches reference and trials. Players will also need to ensure they have confirmed, or are in the process of accepting a place on one of Hartpury College’s further education courses.

Academically, applicants to Hartpury College will be required to meet certain criteria depending on the course you’re applying for. If you have not achieved these prerequisites there are other options available to you; for further details please contact the head of the netball programme, Sarah Pretty.
