Alexandra Matthews - Richmond Ladies

The former A Level student, who now plays for RFU Women's Premiership side, Richmond, made her England U20s debut in 2009 whilst studying at Hartpury.

Alexandra became Hartpury's first full senior international at the tender age of 18 in her graduating year, 2011. Having started as an inside centre, the back row forward says she owes a lot to former Hartpury coach and England team mate, Danielle Waterman.

Following her debut in 2011,she was part of the team a year on which beat New Zealand 3-0 in the test series. 2013 saw Alex make her senior international 7s debut

She started her rugby career with Camberley RFC from 1997-2007 and spent a year with Reading RFC in 2008-09 between two spells with London Irish spanning 2007-08 and 2009-11.

She played seven times for England Under-20s and has captained both London Irish and her county.
