Hartpury Bursaries – help to fund your Higher Education studies

Hartpury offers a wide range of bursaries that can provide financial support to eligible students applying for degree and postgraduate courses.

Applicants can apply for more than one bursary award at Hartpury, but only one bursary will be awarded. Please review bursary terms and conditions before applying.

Unlike a student loan, bursaries do not have to be paid back. They also do not affect eligibility for state support, such as maintenance grants and loans for tuition fees and living costs. So it’s a really good idea to see if you are eligible for any of the following bursaries on offer:

Hartpury Clearing Bursary 

A £500 cash bursary. All clearing students that enrol are eligible, providing they have not applied to Hartpury University Center before. 

Hartpury Local Bursary
A £500 bursary, per year, and for the duration of the programme, is available to all students that are accepted on to a Higher Education programme with a home address in the local area (All Gloucestershire postcodes and those beginning with WR13, WR14, WR8, WR10, WR11, WR12, HR8 and HR9). Applicants must complete and return the Local Bursary application form by 21st September 2016.

Hartpury Support Bursary
A £1000 bursary, per year, for the duration of the programme is available for students coming from a household with an income of less than £21,000 per annum. Applicants must complete and return the Support Bursary application form by 21st September 2016.

Hartpury Progression Bursary
A £500 bursary, per year, and for the duration of the programme, is available to all Further Education students progressing directly from a Hartpury College Further Education course on to degree study at Hartpury. Students that defer or take a year or more out from study will not be eligible. Applicants must complete and return the Bursary Bank Details form by 21st September 2016.

Hartpury Widening Access Bursaries
These bursaries are available to the following students:
• Care Leavers – This bursary offers £1,000 to support study in year one and is available to students who have been in the care of a local authority for a period of 13 weeks or more. Applicants must complete and return the Care Leavers Bursary application form by 21st September 2016.
• Access to HE Diploma Bursary – This bursary offers £1,000 to support study in year one and is available to students who have successfully completed an Access to Higher Education Diploma. Applicants must complete and return the Bursary Bank Details application form by 21st September 2016.
• Full-time Carer Bursary – This bursary offers £1,000 to support study in year one and is available to applicants who have full-time carer responsibilities. Applicants must complete and return the Full-time Carer Bursary application form by 21st September 2016.

Hartpury Rewarding Excellence Top-up Bursary
A £500 cash payment is available for all Hartpury foundation degree students that are accepted onto a top-up degree programme at Hartpury providing that they have achieved a pass of 60% or equivalent in their qualifying award. Applicants must complete and return the bank details application form by 21st September 2016.

• Applicants will be required to complete an application form for all bursaries and return this by post to Bursary Applications, Admissions Department, Hartpury College, Hartpury, Gloucester, Gloucestershire, GL19 3BE. We strongly recommend that applications are sent via recorded delivery post.
• Applicants will be considered for a bursary once they have chosen Hartpury as their ‘Firm’ UCAS choice.
