What if I haven't done as well as I thought?
We have a range of honours degrees with a foundation year option. These would allow you to come onto an full honours degree without the normal entry requirements you would expect. About our offers
At University Centre Hartpury we consider all qualities that an applicant possesses, not just their academic qualifications. We believe strongly that a student should be enrolled on the right course for them, and considering students as individuals in relation to meeting the entry criteria is a key point in ensuring you have the right knowledge and skills on which to build your academic studies.
We typically indicate that they are making an unconditional offer because they have been impressed with the candidate’s application and that the unconditional offer is a result of their belief in the applicant’s potential for future success.
When deciding which offer(s) to accept, we would encourage students to base their decision primarily on the course and institution that they feel represents the best long-term opportunity for them, rather than on whether their place would be automatically guaranteed.
What if I hold an offer somewhere else
Here at Hartpury, we only make offers to applicants when we feel their application demonstrates that they are capable of meeting our entry requirements and succeeding on their chosen course.
If you were to choose Hartpury as your firm choice but narrowly miss the conditions of your offer, we may be able to consider whether we could still admit you during the Confirmation, Clearing and Adjustment period in August. This would be dependent on the number of spaces available once all offer holders who had met their offer conditions had been admitted, and as such there is no guarantee that spaces would be available.
If you’re made unconditional by another institution then the only route available to study with us would be via Clearing. To do this you will just need to ask your accepting institution to agree to release you.
What else should I consider before making my choice?
You are likely to spend three years or more at the university you choose. We at Hartpury advise you to think about the student life as well as the academic course. we would welcome a visit either on one of our discovery days or if you can’t make one of those alternatively contact us to arrange a visits. We look forward to seeing you soon.
