ACCOMMODATION

You may wish to stay in local private accommodation, whether rurally in one of the surrounding villages or in nearby Gloucester (approximately 10 minutes from campus) or Cheltenham (approximately 30 minutes from campus). This offers you great flexibility in where you want to live.  The cost of private accommodation will vary but students usually can expect to pay between £60 and £90 per week excluding bills based on four people sharing, and should additionally budget between £10 and £20 for bills.  Private accommodation can vary between costs that include all bills, even tv license and internet, those which include some bills and those that exclude all bills. Another thing to consider is that private accommodation is usually on a 12 months contract, unlike the Halls of Residence, so make sure you ask about this as well.  As well as budget, looking at transportation availability and cost between local accommodation and campus, as well as other amenities, and if planning on bringing your own car investigating car parking availability and costs is a great idea.

Find your perfect pad

All campus rooms include en suite and internet access. Quiet rooms can also be selected for students who have to get up early to care for horses, or enjoy a quieter space. Wardens are also located on campus to ensure you feel safe and there’s CCTV for extra security too.

We have a variety of options to suit different tastes and budgets. Whether you choose to live on or off campus you’ll get the same high standards of facilities and support. Living in Hartpury on-site accommodation is an extremely popular option and we do have some groups who are given priority, which include (in no particular order):

  • First year undergraduate students who have confirmed us as their first/firm choice with UCAS by the 4th May deadline
  • First year undergraduate international students
