At Hartpury, we believe that everyone should be given the chance to experience university life so that they can understand exactly what is on offer in higher education. We work to inspire, motivate and empower young people, helping them make the right decision to suit their individual ‘wants, needs and aspirations’, and ultimately reach their full potential.

We offer a wide range of higher education experiences, including subject taster days, student life talks, presentations, and subject masterclasses. Our innovative activities are designed to inspire, raise aspirations and enhance the awareness and benefits of higher education. We’re supported by highly qualified lecturers and work closely with schools, colleges, teachers and careers advisors to develop strong relationships for targeted outreach work, ensuring that all young people have opportunities, regardless of their background.

Activities for schools and colleges

We can offer a range of workshops, activities and programmes. They are all designed to widen participation in and improve understanding of higher education, inspiring students to make their passion their future.

These include subject specific workshops in agriculture, animal, equine and sport, as well as outreach workshops, ranging from interview techniques and writing a personal statement, to student life and interactive campus tours.

Our Access Your Future page allows you to discover different topics, such as the benefits of university, choosing the right university and student life, as well as supporting students with the application process. The activities can be downloaded and completed at any time.
