Level 2 Diploma in Agriculture


This Level 2 Diploma will provide you with a sound introduction to agriculture and its allied industries. The course includes a good balance of machinery, crop and livestock husbandry, as well as estate skills. There will be plenty of opportunity to gain practical experience on the college’s own Home Farm, enabling you to immediately put into practice what you have learnt in the classroom. The course will also give you the confidence and motivation to develop yourself and your career prospects by undertaking more study.

Work experience

During your course you will complete two periods of work experience, one in the spring term and one in the summer term, providing you with the opportunity to familiarise yourself with the industry. You will arrange your own work placement within an agricultural-related industrial organisation with the guidance of the agricultural academic staff.

Entry Requirements

A minimum of two GCSEs at grade D (or 3 where numeric grades are being awarded).
