Level 2 Diploma Outdoor Adventure

If you have a passion for outdoor sports and have a desire to work in sport and outdoor adventure, then this course is a great introduction for your career.


You will study and develop practical skills in a variety of outdoor sports and learn about subjects such as fitness testing and training, outdoor and adventurous activities, anatomy and physiology for sport, injury in sport, leading outdoor and adventurous activities and expedition experience. There will also be overnight expeditions. A work placement will allow you to gain first-hand experience of the industry as well as invaluable networking opportunities and contacts.

The course is run by industry specialists who have and worked in various specialist roles in the sector and who are also assessors for National Governing Body Awards.

Hartpury is in a central location, ideally situated to take advantage of the Forest of Dean, Malvern Hills and the River Wye and Severn for a range of outdoor activities

Entry Requirements

A minimum of two GCSEs at grade D (or 3 where numeric grades are being awarded). 

There is an additional charge of £50 to pay for log books etc. Any unused monies will be refunded after completion of the course.

Due to the practical and physical nature of this course you are strongly encouraged to consider whether it is right for you.
