If you are interest in pursuing a career in the Uniformed Public Serves or Armed services, then this one-year diploma is ideal for you. 

The Uniformed Public Services or Armed Services include:

  • Police
  • Fire and Rescue
  • Ambulance
  • Prison Service
  • HM Revenue and Customs
  • Royal Navy
  • Royal Air Force
  • Royal Army

This course will provide you with the opportunity to gain a realistic understanding of the features of each service and the expectations they have of serving members of the public.

You will be able to look at all of the different services with the opportunity to investigate your particular choice of service.

Career and education opportunities

On successful completion of this course, you could be eligible to progress onto the Level 3 Extended Diploma in Uniformed Public Services, followed by employment or university-level study.

The range of opportunities following the course is broad and we aim to give you the opportunity to gain the qualifications and skills, to begin a career in public services.

Other opportunities can include: PCSO (Police Community Support Officer), Special Constable, Reserve forces, or perhaps become a member of support staff or a control room operator.
