Level 3 Extended Diploma Agriculture

Overview

This advanced level course will give you an excellent grounding in agriculture and linked industries.

You’ll benefit from the excellent facilities on campus and get hands on experience working on Hartpury’s Home Farm. You’ll also complete a work placement as part of the course.

Hartpury is one of only a few colleges that offer this qualification with a work placement, meaning our highly employable students have gained valuable life skills as well as on-the-job experience. This course is also an excellent route in to degree level courses.

During your studies you will learn about all four livestock species; Beef, Sheep, Pigs and Dairy. To support your knowledge and skills you will be taught business management and how to improve your business in the land-based sector.

Arable and farm machinery modules are also taught in our CLAAS workshop. We have strong industry links that help us produce a well-rounded student with a firm grasp of the subject area.

Students will also study welding as part of their studies at Hartpury. If you wish to be registered at the end of the course for an industry recognised qualification Level 1 City and Guilds in Mig and Arc Welding, there will be a small registration fee of £75.00.
