Increase your knowledge and practical skills across machinery operation, workshop skills and crop production on this two-year programme.

This course will provide you with the opportunity to develop an in-depth understanding of a wide range of countryside and game related subjects.

What you will study

You'll study aspects of:

  • Gamebird production
  • Shoot management
  • Pest and predator control
  • Woodland and habitat management

Industry experience

We place a huge value on work experience which is incorporated into the course and is a component of the Hartpury Certificate.

Career opportunities

On successful completion of the first year, including positive tutor reports and progress made with Maths and English, you'll then progress onto the second year.

Achieve a merit or above in Level 3 National Extended Certificate Countryside Management, grade 4 or above in GCSE English Language and Mathematics and receive a satisfactory reference from course tutor
