Level 3 National Extended Diploma Agriculture Year 2

Overview

This three-year program of study is designed to increase knowledge and practical skills across machinery operation, livestock skills and crop production.

What you will study

The course will provide you with the opportunity to develop an in-depth understanding of a wide range of agricultural subjects. You'll study aspects of:

  • Sheep
  • Beef
  • Dairy production
  • Machinery operation
  • Agronomy associated with combinable and forage crops

You'll have access to excellent facilities on campus and get hands-on experience completing duties on our Home Farm.

Industry experience

Through industry links and a period of work placement 99% of learners make positive progression into employment as well as higher education.

You will also complete a work placement as part of the course. Hartpury is one of only a few colleges that offer this qualification with a work placement.

This means you'll gain valuable life skills as well as on-the-job experience, helping with your future employment prospects.

Career and education opportunities

On completion, you should have a thorough understanding of agriculture-related subjects and be ready to progress into higher education or employment. This course is an excellent route to degree-level courses.

Entry Requirements

Achieve a merit or above in Level 3 National Foundation Diploma Agriculture, grade 4 or above in GCSE English Language and Mathematics and receive a satisfactory reference from course tutor
