This course is for students who want to develop the theoretical and practical skills to work with horses in the equine industry. The Level 3 Extended Diploma is a riding course (riding assessment applies). Our students have regular yard duties, including weekends. It’s therefore compulsory to live in Hartpury accommodation during your studies.

Course Overview

This course gives you the opportunity to gain detailed academic knowledge and an in-depth understanding of horse management and equitation through theory-based and practical sessions.

You'll be involved in the daily care of the horses through yard duties, including weekends which will develop the practical skills necessary to gain employment within the equine industry. You're also required to complete a period of work experience at an external placement during the course. You'll also have the opportunity to assist in the running of our commercial equine competitions. It's therefore compulsory students to live in Hartpury accommodation for the duration of the course. Successful completion of this programme will allow you to progress onto Higher Education.

Achieve a merit or above in Level 3 National Foundation Diploma Equine Management, grade 4 or above in GCSE English, Mathematics and/or Science, and receive a satisfactory reference from course tutor

Our students have gone on to some fantastic careers in a wide range of industries and enjoyed some exceptional work placements all over the world, helping them open doors to their dream careers.
