Your graduation ceremony is one of the high-points in your university career. It's an opportunity to gather with family and friends to celebrate your award and everything you've achieved. It’s a chance to catch up with friends and say goodbye to the staff who have helped you along the way.
You'll make memories that will last a lifetime - the spectacular setting of Gloucester Cathedral offers a perfect backdrop for picture opportunities throughout the day.
Award ceremonies at Gloucester Cathedral on 25 October are for Hartpury University graduands only. UWE Hartpury students will graduate on 24 October. Please see UWE graduation page for more information.

Getting ready for your graduation
Once registration opens in September, you'll receive an email with a link to access an online portal. This will include registration for your ceremony, buying guest tickets, ordering robes and arranging photography.
We will send your link to the online portal to your Hartpury email address and your personal email address. If you have completed your course you can access your Hartpury webmail for 12 months after your award is confirmed.
Please ensure you update your contacts details on my.hartpury.ac.uk to avoid missing your invite

We recommend arriving approximately two hours before your ceremony begins. Upon arrival, graduands will need to register their arrival at the desks first. This is the most important step of the day as your name will not be read out if you do not register.
Guest tickets are limited to two per graduand. Guest seats will be allocated and we recommend locating your seat upon arrival. Guests must have tickets and be seated at least 15 minutes before the start of the ceremony. Due to Health and Safety restrictions we cannot allow standing during the ceremony.
Award ceremonies are lengthy formal occasions, therefore we recommend finding alternative childcare arrangements where possible. Children aged four and over will need a guest seat. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. If you are bringing a child in a pushchair, please email the graduation team on email@example.com so we can ensure there is suitable seating.
You will be able to order this when you register through the online portal. You must wear robes hired or purchased through Marston Robing. You will be able to pick these up and drop them off on the day from the cathedral. Given the formal nature of the event, we recommend that you wear smart clothing beneath your robe.
Gloucester Cathedral is fully accessible and we will be happy to assist with seating arrangements. Please contact the graduation team on firstname.lastname@example.org with any access requirements you or your guests have at least two weeks before your ceremony.
You can find further information on access to Gloucester Cathedral on their website.
The Cathedral is located at the heart of the city centre, and no car parking is available at the venue. As such, we advise planning parking in advance. Further information on finding Gloucester Cathedral and parking can be found on their website.
Please note the graduation team will not discuss any details relating to your student record or your award ceremony with a third party, including parents.
If your query is regarding robes or photography, please contact Marston Robing.
If you have a question that has not been answered on our website, please email email@example.com. Please note we receive a large volume of emails in the weeks before the ceremonies so our response to you may be delayed.
