There are a lot of students returning to the college over the next few days. As always, our proximity to the River Severn makes this winter-time journey a lot more exciting than it ought to be!

At present the main roads around the college (principally the A417) are open, but the tidal nature of the Severn means that this situation has been changing throughout the past two days. In addition, the forecast is for more heavy rain over the coming period.

For those of you travelling over this coming weekend (4-5 January) or returning on Monday 6th, our best advice is to keep checking the local BBC Website (www.bbc.co.uk/travelnews/gloucestershire) for news of any road closures.

Locally, the most likely cause of difficulty for students attempting to reach the campus will be the closure of the A417 at/near Maisemore. In this eventuality, please ensure that you have a copy of the alternative route here.

Most importantly, follow Police/Highways Agency advice and always take care!

Users of College transport are advised to expect services to run as normal. In the event that there are any changes or delays, you will be notified.
