Hartpury University and Hartpury College are sponsoring the Most Innovative Business of the Year category at the inaugural SoGlos Gloucestershire Business Awards (SGGBA).

The awards are set to become the definitive event in Gloucestershire’s business calendar with categories including Family Business of the Year, New Business of the Year and Green Business of the Year, to name a few.

Hartpury will join headline sponsors GFirst LEP and The Growth Hub at the awards, as well as 14 other prestigious category sponsors including RockWealth, Barclays, Gloucestershire County Council and Hazlewoods.

Russell Marchant, Vice-Chancellor of Hartpury University and Principal of Hartpury College, said: “Hartpury University and Hartpury College are delighted to sponsor the inaugural SoGlos Gloucestershire Business Awards.

“We chose to support the ‘Most Innovative Business of the Year’ category since it reflects a great deal of innovative practice and research taking place at Hartpury and we are keen to support innovation across the county and beyond.

“From student enterprise to our Digital Innovation Farm, Hartpury University and Hartpury College are driving innovation across our specialist areas and we look forward to reviewing applications for this category from fantastic Gloucestershire based businesses.”

Nominations will be welcomed from March to June 2021, with a shortlist of three businesses in each category then considered by a judging panel of experts from GFirst LEP, The Growth Hub, SoGlos and category sponsors in July. Click here to make a nomination.

Stuart Emmerson, Director of Business Development at Hartpury University, said: “Gloucestershire is home to some of the most innovative businesses in the country. We are proud to support this category and to play our part in helping create a dynamic, inclusive and thriving local economy.

“We are keen to work closely with businesses through research projects, work placements and as partners helping to make Gloucestershire a magnet for great firms.”

Plans are for sponsors, finalists and special guests to gather for a celebratory evening of networking, supper, drinks and the live reveal of the overall winners, subject to current government guidelines, at a venue and date to be confirmed.
