Your Freshers' Week
Your Freshers' Week
Your Freshers’ Week runs at the same time as your Welcome Week to provide the social side of your enrolment. It’s a great way to meet your new friends and get to know our beautiful campus.
Our Students' Union (SU) will organise a packed schedule of events and activities for you and your news friends to get involved in.
Last year, our Freshers' Week started with a big House Party - welcoming our students to Hartpury in style! With live music, drinks deals and friendly staff, it was chance to meet and mingle with other students and start to settle in.
Our students also enjoyed a beach party, pub quiz, movie night, pub crawl through Gloucester on Wednesday 'student night', and a 'bring your own drinking vessel' party in Legends bar.
Legends bar will become one of your favourite hang outs on campus. It's your space to chill out on the sofas, play some pool, watch the TV and chat with your mates. It's also where lots of your SU events take place during the year - don't forget to get your Freshers' wristband when you arrive so you'll never miss a party! Read more about your wristband options in the box below.Read your Freshers' Guide 2019 here
Reduce the cost of your social life with one of our wristbands. With free entry to all Legends bar events, you’ll never miss a party.
You could even opt to include the cost of your Summer Ball ticket in your wristband, so you won’t have to worry about budgeting at the time. You can sit back and enjoy the ride.
Last year, we offered a gold and a silver wristband.
£125 covered all events including a Winter and Summer Ball ticket.
£75 covered all events except a Summer Ball ticket.
You can get your wristband from our events staff at your enrolment, or buy it on our Hartpury eStore nearer the time. We'll let you know when they're available.
Hartpury is a beautiful place to live and study.
When you’re not attending one of our Freshers' events, take some time to explore your new home. Find the lake, explore the gardens behind Hartpury House and pick your favourite hangout spot. If you need a break, you could try the food in Graze or grab a coffee in Red and Black café.
If you fancy getting off campus for a day out, you'll be spoilt for choice. Surrounded by beautiful Cotswold countryside and close to the Forest of Dean, take your pick from daring outdoor pursuits and peaceful country walks and bike rides.
For shopping, eating and drinking, vibrant Gloucester and Cheltenham are just a short bus ride away. There's great sports on your doorstep too. From horse racing at Cheltenham Racecourse and football at Cheltenham Town to rugby at Kingsholm Stadium in Gloucester, we've got it all.
