If you’re moving into Hartpury accommodation, your Residential Welcome Day is on Sunday 16 September. This is when you'll pick up your keys and move into your new home on-campus.
Here's the time and location for your course:
We'll be on-hand during the day to answer your questions and help you to find everything you need. Say hello to your new housemates and meet the wardens in your block. They'll always be someone around to help you if you need them.
When you're all moved in, head down to Legends student bar and join the 'Welcome to our house' party on Sunday evening.
If you're moving into student accommodation but it's not on-site, such as Student Digs, you'll receive information direct from them about moving in. You're invited to the Welcome Party on Sunday evening, so make sure you come along and meet your new friends. Andy Cars offer a special taxi rate during Fresher’s week so you won’t miss out on the fun.
Going to be late arriving?
If you're unable to arrive on Residential Welcome Day, please let us know as soon as possible by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org
If we're not informed, then you may be at risk of losing your allocated room.
We’re unable to accept earlier arrivals, unless you're arriving from outside the UK and you have provided us with your flight information. If you have any questions, please email email@example.com
With September just around the corner, it's time to start thinking about what to bring with you.
We've put together this handy guide to help you pack and settle in to your new home.
You'll need to make sure you have the essentials for your studies. We recommend that you have access to a laptop, but we do have computers that you can use. To save you from splashing out on software, we provide the latest version of the full Microsoft Office productivity suite, free of charge.
Here are some guidelines of what to bring with you:
The daily essentials and things to make your room feel like home:
If you've opted for self-catered halls, a linen and cutlery starter kit can be purchased via the Hartpury online shop.
If you're moving into catered halls (which includes breakfast only) you may still need to bring some essentials with you to make snacks.
Your room will be furnished with everything you need. There are a few items that we ask you not to bring with you.
Household bits to bring with you:
We offer an additional meal package that might be handy when things get busy. For £30 per week you can have five fresh and nutritious meals from any of our food outlets around campus.
You can choose if you have them at lunchtime or for dinner, Monday to Sunday, so they fit around your schedule.
