#ComingtoHartpury2021

You'll have the best of rural and urban life at Hartpury. Our beautiful country campus offers acres of green space and tranquility, but hop on a bus and you're in the bustling city centre of Gloucester within 15 minutes.

What's happening on-campus?
Your Freshers' Week is just the beginning of your Hartpury experience. Our Students' Union organise loads of fun on-campus events throughout the year, from live music and karaoke to quiz and movie nights.

If you love playing sport (competitively or for fun), riding horses, joining new clubs and societies, taking part in fitness activities, and catching up with friends over a coffee (or maybe something stronger in our SU bar!), then Hartpury student life is perfect for you.

When you're not busy enjoying everything Hartpury has to offer, take some time to explore your new home. From Hartpury lake to the landscaped gardens behind Hartpury House, pick your favourite hangout spot.

Why Gloucestershire?
Whether your idea of a perfect day out is an action-packed adventure or a cosy afternoon in a Gloucester café (there's plenty of time to find the ones with the best sweet treats!), our beautiful county has everything you need. Famous for its festivals, choose from over 45 music, arts, and literature festivals in the local area each year, attracting big names from all over the world. We have great links with major metropolitan cities too; Birmingham, Cardiff, Bristol, Bath and London promise exciting days out.

City life
For shopping, eating and drinking, and trips to the cinema, vibrant Gloucester and Cheltenham are just a short bus ride away. If you're into your sports, you'll be spoilt for choice in Gloucestershire. From horse racing at Cheltenham Racecourse and football at Cheltenham Town to rugby at Kingsholm Stadium in Gloucester, we've got it all.

Country living
For fresh air and outdoor adventures, you couldn't have chosen a better location. Surrounded by beautiful Cotswold countryside and close to the Forest of Dean, take your pick from daring outdoor pursuits - mountainboarding, kayaking or white water rafting, anyone? - peaceful country walks, and bike rides.

Getting around

Regular buses between our campus and Gloucester means that you’re able to pop into town whenever you like.

Hop on a Swanbrook public bus, Monday to Friday during term time, and you'll be in Gloucester in just 15 minutes and Cheltenham, in 30 minutes. View their timetable on the Swanbrook website.

Alternatively, you can jump into an Andy Cars taxi and get a discounted student rate of around £13  for a four-seater cab - that's just £3.25 each for you and three mates. Great for a night out or a day trip into town.
