4. Check our Covid-19 and vaccination information

You may have read that some universities are continuing with full blended learning (including large amounts of online teaching) in the next academic year. This is not our plan for Hartpury University; based on the current government guidance, we're planning on delivering the ‘new normal’ academic experience.

To find out everything you need to know about coming to Hartpury during Covid-19, including course delivery, vaccinations and your student experience, read our Covid-19 FAQs and watch our short films with Hartpury Pro Vice-Chancellor, Rosie Scott-Ward.

Check the months below to see what your journey to Hartpury looks like. We'll be in touch via post and email over the coming months, but this gives you an idea of what to look out for.

1 March 2021: Accommodation booking opens
Would you prefer to live on our beautiful rural campus, or in stylish new halls in the heart of Gloucester city, just a 15-minute bus ride away? Start considering your options now.

We guarantee Hartpury accommodation in your first year, but allocate rooms on a first-come, first-served basis.

Apply for student finance
If you’re a UK student and have decided to apply for a Tuition Fee Loan and/or Maintenance Loan, go to Student Finance England, Northern Ireland, Scotland or Wales to get started.

If you’re an international student, the best place to go for up-to-date information is the student funding bodies in your own country. It’s very likely that the timings and deadlines on loan and scholarship applications will differ from UK student loans, so make sure you make a note of these in your calendar. If you need further information or advice, our International team are always on-hand to support you: international@hartpury.ac.uk

30 March 2021: International students – Virtual visa session
Join our International Manager, Charlotte Phillips, as she takes you through a step-by-step guide on the visa application process and explains recent changes to student visas from the UK Government.

1 April – Apply for a bursary
We offer a range of bursaries and scholarships to help with the cost of your studies. Check to see if you're eligible and apply on our website.

From 17 April 2021: International students – Apply for your student visa
If you're not a British or Irish citizen, it's very likely you'll require a visa to study in the UK. You can start applying for your student visa from 17 April 2021, six months before your start date at Hartpury of 17 September. This will give you plenty of time to get your visa approved, providing you meet the eligibility criteria. Our International team are visa experts, so do get in touch if you need support: international@hartpury.ac.uk

To apply for your visa, visit the UK Government website: https://www.gov.uk/student-visa

Make sure you've joined our Facebook group. We'll be sharing more information about the event, and asking you what you'd like to see, over the coming weeks.

Wondering what it’s like to study your course? Our students will share their stories of their own personal experience though a series of vlogs and blogs. Launching in May, we’ll send you an email when they’re ready to watch and read on our website.

20 May 2021 – UCAS deadline
You must make your Firm (first) and Insurance (second) choice in UCAs before this date. But you don’t have to wait. If you already know we’re the right choice, you can make us your Firm choice now.
