LAST TWO MEETINGS
The Acorns head to Oxfordshire for our third meeting with the Railwaymen this season, having played them in the FA Trophy and Southern League Div One South, at the end of January.
When the Railwaymen visited Gloucestershire on a cold January Tuesday night, an early goal from Billy Osborn and an own goal were enough to see the Acorns run out 2-0 winners.
Prior to that, the two sides for the first time back in September, during a dramatic FA Trophy tie.
It was the Acorns debut in the competition and to mark it, Tomos Shyamapant came off the bench to bag a late brace to secure a 2-1 victory at the Loop Meadow.
WHAT’S HAPPENED SINCE?
Since our meeting back in January, the Railwaymen have lost just two of their last six games, which has seen the side open up an 11 point gap on the drop zone.
During this impressive run, Didcot came out on the wrong end of a 10 goal thriller against Sporting Club Inkberrow, at the end of February.
After opening up a 3-1 lead, the Railwaymen came under fire as Inkberrow turned the game around in the second half with Aidan Clark netting four goals during the 6-4 win for Berrow.
PLAYER TO WATCH – TYGER-J HALL
Tyger-J Hall has been in fine form for the Railwaymen since our previous meeting, with the attacker netting five in his last three games.
Hall managed a brace during a 3-0 win over Tavistock AFC, following and impressive hat-trick during his sides goal heavy meeting with Inkberrow.
