A 230-mile round trip awaits the Acorns as we travel to Exmouth Town, in the Southern League Div One South on Saturday.
Following last Saturday’s defeat to Malvern Town, the Acorns will be hoping to pick up their first win of 2026, on our trip down south.
Ahead of our trip to the bank of the River Exe, here is everything you need to know about Exmouth.
THE OPPOSITION- EXMOUTH TOWN
STADIUM- Completely Infrastructure Stadium
NICKNAME- The Town
FOUNDED- 1933
MANAGER- Kevin Hill
LEAGUE POSITION- 7th

LAST TIME OUT
The Acorns came up short when Exmouth visited the 4ED Hartpury Stadium in October, with the visitors running out 2-1 winners
A second half Vanylson Silva strike wasn’t enough to overturn goals from Oliver Knowles and Luke Steer of Exmouth.
WHAT’S HAPPENED SINCE?
13 games have past for Exmouth, since their trip to Gloucestershire, seeing the Town suffer just five defeats in that period.
With Exmouth chasing down the playoff positions, their five defeats all came against opposition in the playoff zone such as, Frome Town, Bishops Cleeve, Malvern Town, Portishead Town and Winchester City.
But three wins in their last five games, including an eight goal thriller against Bideford, sees the side sit eight points off the playoff positions, in seventh.
At home, Exmouth have made the Complete Infrastructure Stadium a fortress suffering just three defeats in 15 games there in all competitions, this campaign.
BIDEFORD THRILLER
Exmouth ended 2025 with a thrilling 5-3 victory over Bideford AFC, which included a stunning turnaround.
Bideford took the lead on 10 minutes before Benjamin Steer levelled the game just 14 minutes later.
Bideford stormed to a 3-1 lead in the early stages of the second period but, a 10 minute flurry from Exmouth saw a Benjamin Griffin spot kick and a Matthew Wright brace spin the game on its head at 4-3.
Exmouth made certain of the victory and an important three points in the 73rd minute through a Michael Landricombe finish, before going on to make it back-to-back wins against Bristol Manor Farm, last time out.
PLAYER TO WATCH- THOMAS BATH
A recognisable name in Tom Bath, who the Acorns have faced twice already this season during his time with Willand Rovers.
Bath rejoined Exmouth Town, after departing for Willand for the start of 2025/26 campaign, at the beginning of December and has since netted twice in four games.
