In a tightly contested Southern League Div One South so early on in the season, the Acorns and Town are separated by just three points and three positions.

The Acorns sit in eighth currently eyeing up a return to the top five, whilst Town occupy fifth place and the final playoff position, eyeing up the chance to go closer to the top with all three points.

Both sides have shipped the same amount of goals (15) in the opening 10 games, but the Acorns currently sit as the division’s top scorers with 26 goals in 10 games whilst Exmouth have managed 18.

WHAT’S HAPPENED SO FAR?

The Town have been in impressive form this campaign but head into Saturday’s clash off the back of a heavy 5-0 defeat away to Falmouth Town on Tuesday night.

A second half rout saw Town head back to Devon with their first defeat since September 3rd, having been on a run of seven games unbeaten prior.

In their first 15 games of the campaign, Exmouth have only failed to score on three occassions but have only managed four clean sheets all season.

PLAYER TO WATCH – BENJAMIN GRIFFIN

Benjamin Griffin has steered home two goals in his last three games for the Town netting against both Westbury United and Tavistock AFC.

This season Griffin has found the net on three occassions, with his first goal of the season coming against Bristol Manor Farm in August.
