After a weekend off, the Acorns will be hoping to make it three-games unbeaten when we welcome Larkhall Athletic to the 4ED Hartoury stadium on Saturday.
The Acorns will also be aiming to extend their impressive home unbeaten streak to seven games, in the Southern League Div One South, a run that dates back to November.
Ahead of the Larks trip to Gloucestershire, here is everything you need to know about them.
THE OPPOSITION- LARKHALL ATHLETIC
STADIUM- Plain Ham
NICKNAME- The Larks
FOUNDED- 1914
MANAGER- John Durbin
LEAGUE POSITION- 7th
LAST FIVE- W-W-W-W-W
LAST TIME OUT
It was a disappointing October Wednesday evening when the Acorns last visited Larkhall, seeing the Larks run out 3-1 winners at Plain Ham.
Drew Robinson bagged the only goal on the night for the Acorns, but it wasn’t enough to stop a Matthew Bowman header and Dawid Regula brace for the hosts that night.
WHAT’S HAPPENED SINCE?
The Larks, at present, sit in 7th, two places and four points above the Acorns (9th) after hitting an unstoppable patch of form, winning all of their last five games.
This form comes after the departure of former manager, Ollie Price, who stepped down following the Larks 4-4 draw with Bishops Cleeve in December.
That victory kicked started this current six-game unbeaten streak, the Larks are on, and it’s been carried on under new manager, John Durbin, who took over at the beginning of January.
Since taking over, Durbin has overseen a 1-0 win away to Westbury United before his side left it late to defeat Exmouth Town 3-2, with a 93rd minute Regula spot kick.
PLAYER TO WATCH- DAWID REGULA
Regula has been instrumental for the Larks this season, bagging in each of his last four games.
The striker has struck around 15 goals for the Larks this campaign, including a brace against the Acorns and an impressive hat-trick against league leaders, Frome Town, back in October.
