After a difficult start to life in the Southern League Div One South, the Eagles have picked up form losing just one of their last seven games.
Wins over strugglers Willand Rovers and Bashley, either side of a draw with high flyers Exmouth Town, has seen the Eagles climb the table from relegation zone dodgers to mid-table safety.
PREVIOUS MEETINGS
The Acorns and the Eagles have met on five occassions over the last three seasons, which has seen the sides promoted together through the Hellenic League Division One, Hellenic Premier to now, the Southern League’s.
It was a battling 3-1 victory for the Acorns at the 4ED Hartpury Stadium, back at the start of the season, following on from a defeat to Inkberrow at the end of the last campaign.
Prior to that, the Acorns had won all three of the opening meetings and will be hoping for a similar outcome on Saturday.
