Award Winner On Stage College Prize Day

Eligible students will receive an invitation via their Hartpury email address in late spring. This will include a link to book your place at Prize Day and reserve guest tickets.

Prize Day includes two ceremonies - one in the morning and one in the afternoon. Your invitation and booking form will clearly confirm which ceremony your course is part of. Please ensure you select the correct ceremony when booking.

Each student can book up to two guest tickets.

After the booking deadline, additional tickets may become available depending on ceremony capacity. If extra tickets are released, eligible students will be notified by email. You’ll then be able to amend the number of guest tickets on your e-ticket.

We’re unable to confirm the availability of any additional guest tickets before the booking deadline.

When you arrive, please register with your tutor outside the Equine Arena. Students will line up in alphabetical order with others from their course. Your tutor will guide you to your seat before the ceremony begins.

Following the opening speeches, each department will be invited to the stage as a group. Students’ names will be read out individually as they walk onto the stage to shake hands with the Chancellor and have an individual photograph taken.

Prize-winners will receive their trophy or award on stage. Students awarded a college prize will be informed in advance. Winners of the overall college prizes will be invited back onto the stage at the end of the student presentations. You’ll then hear further speeches, including those by the guest of honour, the Principal for Further Education, and the student vote of thanks.

Guests will be seated in the arena static seating area. After the ceremony, they are welcome to join students in the Equine Arena for refreshments.

Certificates are not issued on the day.

A selection of prestigious Hartpury College awards are presented during the ceremony. Trophies must be returned at the end of the event; students will receive a replica to keep. Trophies are displayed in Hartpury House throughout the year.

Students receiving a departmental prize will be notified in advance. Winners of the overall college prizes are announced on the day.

Prize Day takes place in the Equine Arena, with the ceremony and reception on level ground. Stage access is via a ramp.

If you or your guests have any access requirements, please inform your tutor, and include full details when completing your online booking.

Accessible parking is available in the top Equine car park. Accessible guest seating is located at the back of the staging area, with additional accessible seating available on the arena floor behind the student section. Please note that the route to the arena floor involves a steep, tarmacked slope.

If you have any questions about accessibility, please contact the team at prizeday@hartpury.ac.uk
