Outreach: Schools and colleges

Working with schools

At Hartpury, we believe that everyone should be given the chance to experience university life so that they can understand exactly what is on offer in higher education. We work to inspire, motivate and empower young people, helping them make the right decision to suit their individual ‘wants, needs and aspirations’, and ultimately reach their full potential. Activities for schools and colleges

Explore our offering

We offer a wide range of higher education experiences, including subject taster days, student life talks, presentations, and subject masterclasses. Our innovative activities are designed to inspire, raise aspirations and enhance the awareness and benefits of higher education.

We’re supported by highly qualified lecturers and work closely with schools, colleges, teachers and careers advisors to develop strong relationships for targeted outreach work, ensuring that all young people have opportunities, regardless of their background.

You can meet our team here.

These include subject specific workshops in agriculture, animal, equine and sport, as well as outreach workshops, ranging from interview techniques and writing a personal statement, to student life and interactive campus tours.

More activities

In addition to our workshops and activities within schools, we are also able to support events run by schools and colleges, as well as external events such as:

  • Assemblies
  • Talks
  • Career fairs
  • Campus tours
  • UCAS and UK University Search exhibitions
  • GROWS events

If you are running your own event that you would like us to support, or would like any information on the above, please get in touch using our enquiry form. We also welcome individual requests to cater for bespoke requirements.

Subject specific posters

Located in the heart of Gloucestershire, we are a specialist institution offering a diverse range of subjects, including our newest addition: Business.

We have created two sets of subject-specific posters—one for Hartpury University and another for Hartpury College. These posters are designed for schools and colleges to download, print, and display on careers notice boards around campus.

The sets of posters are tailored to individual subject areas, allowing the opportunity for schools and colleges to focus on specific subjects that align with students' interests when considering applying to Hartpury University or Hartpury College.
