This interactive presentation will explore how to choose the right university for you and how to narrow down your options from the vast choices that are now available to students. This will include looking at the different degree types (BSc, FdSc, MSc etc.) and identifying your course choice, city or rural location, distance and statistics/ awards.

Drawing on current employment market information, the session outlines the purpose of a CV, appropriate content and tips for design and layout.  The interactive activities allow learners to identify their own transferable skills, experience and interests – perfect for creating a great CV!

Interviews play a key role in becoming a successful candidate. Students attend formal interviews for colleges, universities, work placements and jobs. In this workshop, students will be provided with an overview of what to expect from an interview, how to prepare using a range of different techniques and what to do on the day.

This workshop has been specifically designed to help anyone and everyone to feel better about speaking in front of an audience, no matter the size. The workshop has been developed using a number of different styles of public speaking, and the techniques are delivered to, and practised in small groups. The workshop is led by Rich Whincup, Hartpury lecturer and inspirational speaker.

It includes real-life examples of EPQ titles, source analysis (based on OCR guidance) and step-by-step direction on where and how to carry out research for this project, using techniques that can be used for all subject areas.
