Animal Management students head to Crufts

Hartpury Students from the Level 3 Extended Diploma in Animal Management headed to Crufts to see the working and pastoral groups.

These students are undertaking a module in working dogs and they were able to see all of the breeds used over the world for various uses.

The favourite breeds among the students were the German Shepherds, Newfoundlands and Alaskan Malamutes. They also enjoyed the demonstrations on obedience, agility and ‘doggy dancing’ among classes of Old English Sheepdogs, Collies and St. Bernard’s.

The students were also able to talk to trainers and breeders about the dogs and further their knowledge within the industry, before shopping for their own dogs!
