Two Hartpury dressage riders tipped for future success showed their class by taking first and third spots in the recent Prix St Georges at Addington Manor International show.
Former A-level student Olivia Oakley finished in first with a top score of 69.561% whilst current student, and good friend, Emma Corbett claimed third on 69.123% in the Young Rider level competition.
“I was absolutely thrilled with the competition as we achieved our personal best at international level,” Emma said.
“I feel that on a sporting level, both my horse and I have developed hugely this year thanks to Nick Burton and Carl Hester [at Hartpury] who have worked alongside my trainer at home.”
Both Emma and Olivia will now be looking forward to selection for high profile European shows as they seek to maintain their form in their quest for British team selection at the Young Rider European Championships in Italy later in the year.
Emma is currently part of Hartpury’s elite dressage squad and will travel to Holland in early April for her next European show.
