Don’t delay, sign up for Hartpury’s Sport Relief mile now!

Sport Relief is only days away and excitement is growing at Hartpury with two major events on the horizon.

While the college is hosting the Sport Relief Mile for the third time on Sunday, March 20th, Hartpury’s hockey team will also be doing their bit for a great cause as they take part in a gruelling 10-hour hockey match on Wednesday, March 16th.

Staff and students from across the college are being encouraged to don a hockey stick, some for the first time (!), to join the team for the marathon match from 8am to 6pm.

Plus Sunday’s Sports Relief Mile is your chance to join hundreds of local people as they descend upon Hartpury to raise money. Everyone is invited!

Setting off from the college’s Sports Academy at 11am, the route will take in Hartpury’s woodland and commercial farm before runners cross the finish line in front of the rugby grandstand.

For those looking to push themselves, there are three and six-mile options available alongside the traditional one-mile run.

If you’re interested in taking part, you can still enter at, get sponsored and help transform the lives of people living here in the UK and in some of the world’s poorest countries, while being part of an incredible nationwide event.

Hartpury’s James Forrester, from the college’s Sports Academy, said: “We’re really excited to be hosting the run for a third time because it’s a fantastic cause and we are looking forward to welcoming every man, woman and children as they run themselves proud on the day!”
