Hartpury help to show best of Gloucestershire business the future of local training


Hartpury played another leading role in helping to show off the benefits of training within the county at another packed programme as part of the annual Gloucestershire Business Show recently.

After a successful debut at the show last year, Hartpury helped to show thousands of visitors and businesses where the future of business training within Gloucestershire lies. The college was part of an eight-strong hub focused on local training and development alongside eight other providers from the county.

Across the two day event at Cheltenham’s Racecourse the hub covered everything from the apprenticeship levy to a session on ‘the future of learning’. Guest speakers from the Skills Funding Agency, Renishaw and the South West Apprenticeship Agency joined in to cover areas like the widely report skills gap as well as the use of technology within learning and training.

Last year Hartpury were part of a Learning and Development hub which focused on the 'Missing Millions'. The college joined its partners in leading a session focused on how businesses can get their share of an untapped workforce, the skills they need to grow their business and how to reap the benefits of a flexible, changing employment market.
