Gloucester-Hartpury’s women strengthened their grip at the top of the table with a nine-try rout of Buckingham Swans as they claimed their tenth win in ten games.
Braces for Gemma Sharples and Beth Jones as well as scores from Annabelle Whitecross, Annouska Gregovich, Chloe Limbrick, Shelly Ruddock and Lauren Graham eased the team to a 59-7 win over the fifth-placed side. Limbrick also added 14 points with the boot.
Susie Appleby’s team now have ten wins from ten and have only missed out on one winning bonus point are doing their best to keep pace with Hartpury RFC – who are currently top of National 1 having won all their games and only missed out on one bonus point.
The side are now on course to win the league at Kingsholm when they play second place Worcester Ladies on March 4th. Victory will guarantee them top spot with one game remaining and a place in the playoffs for a chance at promotion.
Ahead of their top-of-the-table clash with Worcester, the team first face a trip to Hove Ladies in a cup quarter-final this weekend (Sunday 26th, February).
