Hartpury are set to welcome two former Royal Marines to the campus to share their remarkable story as part of a one-off public lecture this Thursday (18 January, 6.30pm).

Jason Hare and Jock Hutchinson are part of a recovery centre – HorseBack UK – for injured service personnel. They will be at Hartpury to deliver a talk on their recovery pathway, with a particular focus on resilience.

Hutchinson is HorseBack’s co-founder, while Hare was injured in service and has since become the company’s operations manager. The charity’s aim is to use horsemanship to ‘inspire recovery, regain self-esteem and provide a sense of purpose and community to the wounded, injured and sick of the military community’.

HorseBack UK are Hartpury’s Raise and Give society’s chosen charity for this year. If you would like to hear what Jason and Jock have to say, book your place by emailing Hannah.knaggs@hartpury.ac.uk
