Preparations gathering pace for big equine events at Hartpury


Stars of the equestrian world will be heading to Hartpury again this summer as the world-class venue hosts some of the most popular international and national events in the equine calendar.

The Hartpury Festival of Dressage, Hartpury Show jumping Spectacular and NAF Five Star International Hartpury Horse Trials – this year, featuring Hartpury’s famous Summer Fair – will showcase the talents of some of the sport’s biggest names and champions of the future.

Hartpury Equine Director Philip Cheetham said: “Our preparations are now well under way for what promises to be another wonderful summer of high-quality equine sport at Hartpury.

Hartpury Festival of Dressage

The Hartpury Festival of Dressage (4-8 July) gets the action under way with five days of outstanding competition from the best in equestrian sport in Hartpury’s international arena.

Thousands of spectators are attracted to the world-class event to watch the superstars of dressage in action.

Hartpury Show jumping Spectacular

The Hartpury Show jumping Spectacular (20-22 July) provides a superb opportunity for top riders and horses from across the UK to underline their prowess.

NAF Five Star International Hartpury Horse Trials

Attention then turns to the NAF Five Star International Hartpury Horse Trials (8-12 August), providing five days of outstanding equestrian sport, which will include the Hartpury Summer Fair this year.

Since its foundation in 2003, the NAF International Hartpury Horse Trials has established itself as a firm favourite amongst competitors in the eventing calendar.

This high-profile event attracts some of the biggest names of the international eventing world and with such top-quality competitors across the classes, spectators can be sure to experience the very best of the sport.

The Horse Trials run across the 360-hectare Hartpury campus, with the dressage and show jumping taking place in the International Arena at equine whilst the cross-country phase runs across the Hartpury estate and this year the course will run in front of Hartpury House.

The Summer Fair, which takes place on the Saturday of the Horse Trials, will feature games, activities and crafts for all the family to enjoy.
