Hartpury University and Hartpury College have been named the winner of the ‘Over 100 Employees’ category at the inaugural Forest Economic Partnership (FEP) Innovation Awards, recognising their outstanding contributions to innovation in education and the land-based sectors.
The awards ceremony, held at Lydney Town Hall and attended by around 65 guests, celebrated the pioneering spirit and ingenuity of local businesses. Sponsored by the Watts of Lydney Group, the event showcased the exceptional calibre of enterprise across the Forest of Dean.
Hartpury University and Hartpury College’s success reflects their continued leadership in driving forward innovative approaches to teaching, research, and industry collaboration. As a leading institution in its specialist subjects, Hartpury’s focus on cutting-edge technology, sustainable practices, and real-world impact set it apart from the competition.
Professor Steve Draper, Academic Dean at Hartpury University said: “This award is a real honour and a reflection of our commitment to working together with businesses to drive innovation. Hartpury University and Hartpury College has become a hive of research and knowledge exchange, trusted by businesses to collaborate on industry projects as well as providing access to a strong talent pool of students.
The Forest Economic Partnership (FEP) is a collaborative initiative launched in 2018 by the Forest of Dean District Council. Its mission is to foster a thriving economy in the Forest of Dean by connecting businesses, councils, residents, and resources to drive sustainable growth.
