Hartpury College celebrated the outstanding achievements of its students at the annual Prize Day ceremony held in the Hartpury Equine Arena on Friday, 20 June. The event brought together students, families, friends, staff, and special guests for a joyful day of recognition and reflection.
The ceremony was presided over by Professor Andy Collop, Vice-Chancellor, Principal and CEO of Hartpury University and Hartpury College, alongside Chair of Governors Edward Keene and Chancellor Martin Clunes. Guests were treated to inspirational addresses from both Professor Collop and Mr Clunes, who celebrated the hard work, resilience, and accomplishments of students over the past academic year.
Chancellor Martin Clunes delivered a motivational keynote speech, drawing on personal experiences to offer words of encouragement and advice to students as they embark on their next chapter.
Claire Whitworth, Deputy Principal of Hartpury College, said: “Prize Day is always a joyful celebration of our students’ many achievements. It’s a privilege to join friends and family in marking this important milestone. In addition to acknowledging every student’s academic journey, we also presented special awards for endeavour, outstanding academic achievement, progress, and Sports Academy performances. We’re grateful to our sponsors for their continued support of these honours. I also want to thank Martin for such a motivational speech that will surely stay in the minds of our students as they move into the world of work or onto their next steps in education.”
Professor Andy Collop added: “Celebrations like these are lasting memories for students and their families, and they contribute to Hartpury’s rich and evolving legacy in what has been another successful year for the College. We are immensely proud of our students and wish them every success, whether they’re returning to Hartpury University, continuing their studies elsewhere, or stepping into the world of work.”
