Hartpury Equine has once again achieved full approval as a Riding Centre, Livery Centre, and Facility Centre by the British Horse Society (BHS), following a comprehensive inspection in June.
The inspection saw Hartpury highly commended across multiple key areas, including:
- Horse care
- Client experience
- Coaching standards
- Hacking and riding out
- Tack and equipment
- Grassland and turnout
- Working practice
- Livery facilities
In addition, Hartpury Equine was confirmed as fully compliant with all BHS safeguarding requirements.
BHS Approved Centre Inspector Sarah praised the standard of provision at Hartpury, noting that there were no action points following her visit. She commented: “Hartpury is a well-run centre with excellent facilities. A large number of student DIY liveries, working liveries, and loan horses are all well managed with an effective team of staff.”
Phillip Cheetham, Equine Director at Hartpury University and College added: We’re delighted to once again receive such positive feedback from the BHS. Our team works tirelessly to ensure that our horses are cared for to the highest possible standards, and that our students and liveries benefit from a safe, supportive, and professional environment. This recognition is a testament to the dedication and expertise of our staff, and the pride they take in their work.”
The recognition reaffirms Hartpury University and Hartpury College’s position as one of the UK’s leading equine education providers, offering outstanding facilities, expert staff, and a safe, professional environment for students, liveries, and visitors.
