Hartpury University and Hartpury College are proud to announce that they have been awarded Educational Associate Membership of the British and Irish Association of Zoos and Aquariums (BIAZA) — a prestigious recognition of the institution’s dedication to animal welfare, education, and conservation.
The achievement follows a detailed application and inspection process, during which Hartpury demonstrated that its animal facilities, staff expertise, and welfare standards meet BIAZA’s rigorous criteria. The independent inspection, carried out by industry specialists, evaluated areas including animal husbandry and welfare protocols, ethical practices, veterinary policies, staff training and development, and record keeping.
