Hartpury University and Hartpury College are excited to celebrate the latest achievement of alumna and Rugby World Cup winner Ellie Kildunne, who has been announced as the official voice of Heathrow Airport for Christmas 2025.
The England star will be heard across Heathrow’s public address system throughout the festive period, sharing seasonal messages with millions of travellers. Her announcements will welcome passengers with the message that “the world feels a little brighter at Christmas.”
Reflecting on the honour, she said: “Christmas is a time for celebration and for me, I’m looking forward to marking what a big year it’s been. This time of year is about reconnecting, recharging and remembering what really matters. I’m honoured to be involved in the festivities at Heathrow this year, whether that be passengers reconnecting with loved ones or stepping onto their holiday flight, I’ll be on the tannoys bringing the Christmas cheer for all.”
Heathrow is preparing for its busiest festive season yet, with more than seven million passengers expected to pass through its four terminals in December.
Daniel Edwards, Director of Services at Heathrow, commented: “Christmas is a truly special time at Heathrow, as thousands of passengers reunite with loved ones and begin their festive journeys. By partnering with Ellie as our first-ever ‘Voice of Britain’, we’re adding a unique seasonal touch to the airport experience that we hope will spark some joy and get travellers into the Christmas spirit from the moment they arrive.”
Mick Axtell, Chief Operating Officer of Hartpury University and College oversees the rugby programme and added: “We’re incredibly proud to see Hartpury alumna Ellie Kildunne continuing to thrive both on and off the pitch. Her role as the voice of Heathrow this Christmas is a fantastic reflection of her character, talent and leadership. Ellie is an inspiring ambassador for Hartpury, and we’re delighted to see her representing our community on such a national stage.”
Ellie was one of 15 Hartpury alumni who were crowned world champions earlier this autumn with the Red Roses, including stars such as Zoe Aldcroft, Mo Hunt, Sarah Bern, Alex Matthews, Holly Aitchison, and Emma Sing.
Hartpury’s presence stretched well beyond England, with current students and graduates representing Wales, Scotland, Ireland, the USA, Canada, and Spain, highlighting the global reach and strength of its pathway. Hartpury University was also named Specialist University of the Year 2026 by The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide.
