Hartpury celebrates four winners at the Land-based and Environment Learner Awards

Hartpury University and Hartpury College enjoyed exceptional success at the 2025 Land-based & Environment Learner Awards last night, with four students named category winners at this prestigious national event.

The awards, held in partnership with Lantra and Landex, celebrate the next generation of skilled professionals across land-based, environmental, animal, equine, and conservation sectors. This year, Hartpury’s strong presence showcased both the quality of its educational provision and the ambition of its students.

2025 Hartpury Award Winners

·       Ellie HollingsBSc (Hons) Veterinary Nursing

·       Ellie MartinMSc Biodiversity Conservation

In total, six Hartpury students were shortlisted across college and university categories, reflecting excellence in academic performance, practical skill, research engagement, and commitment to their chosen industries. Ellie Thorpe (BSc (Hons) Zoology) and Kim Hayden (BSc (Hons) Veterinary Nursing) were both worthy finalists.

Claire Whitworth, Principal of Hartpury College, said: “Everyone at Hartpury University and Hartpury College is incredibly proud of our students’ success at this year’s awards. To have four Hartpury learners named winners is an outstanding achievement and a reflection of their hard work, passion, and dedication to their fields. All six of our finalists have shown exceptional promise, and their recognition at a national level highlights both their individual talents and the strength of the teaching and support they receive here at Hartpury. We congratulate them wholeheartedly.

The evening was further elevated by the support of industry sponsors, with the event presented by BBC wildlife and science presenter Kate Humble.
